Japanese design · Transylvanian build

A speaker maker. With club music at its core.

Kannonaudio is a small manufacturer of music-focused speaker systems, designed by Japanese speaker designers and built in Transylvania by professional speaker builders.

From the club, for the club.

Kannonaudio began with a Japanese sound research team developing speakers for club music, inspired by the sound of New York’s Paradise Garage.

The first Kannonaudio system, System 100, appeared in 2008. The catalogue grew into designs for different music, spaces and installation approaches.

Built in Transylvania.

Today, the manufacturing base is in Transylvania. Japanese design and Transylvanian speaker-building craft come together in the same systems.

The original design story

Draw. Build. Listen.

Early designs began with rulers, compasses and protractors, followed by handmade models. That hands-on speaker-making history sits behind the current catalogue.
